Good news for Australian pilots: EXTRA 500 and EXTRA 330LX achieved type certificate for Australia. So it's easier now to license these airplanes there. Since distances in Australia cry for an airplane allowing cross country travel, the EXTRA 500 is the right answer to that: a 1600 nautical mile range and a fuel burn of 75 litres per hour Jet A1 - due to the use of carbon fibre for a lighter airframe. Best conditions for up to 6 travellers in the well-proportioned high-wing turboprop!
The two seat unlimited aerobatic EXTRA 330LX, having gained new type approval for Australia too, is well known among aerobatic pilots to be in a class of its own.
